Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith outlines and expresses the biblical convictions and theological foundations that shape who we are, what we believe, and how we live and minister. These beliefs are grounded in the authority of Scripture and centered on the person and finished work of Jesus Christ, through whom we are restored to relationship with God the Father and made new in our identity as His sons and daughters. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, these beliefs guide our mission, our teaching, and our desire to see lives changed through an authentic encounter with Jesus and the advancing of God’s Kingdom on the earth.

1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It reveals His purposes, instructs us in His will, and is profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness. Yet Scripture can only be rightly understood through the illumination of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 2:10-14). The written Word always points to the Living Word, Jesus Christ, who is the full and perfect revelation of God (John 1:14; Hebrews 1:1-3). All true revelation aligns with the life, teaching, and Spirit of Jesus (John 5:39).

2. God the Father
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, love, and justice (1 John 4:8; Psalm 89:14). He did not abandon His Son at the cross but was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). His heart is to draw all people into restored relationship as His children through Jesus. Every act of God flows from His love, for He is the giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17).

3. Jesus Christ the Son
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, revealed the Father, and demonstrated the Kingdom of God on earth. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily on the third day, conquering sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). His finished work—including His enthronement at the right hand of the Father (Acts 2:33-36)—provides forgiveness, righteousness, healing, deliverance, and reconciliation with God the Father (Isaiah 53:4-6; Romans 5:8-11). His life is perfect theology and the ultimate example for believers (John 14:6, 12).

4. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, fully God and co-equal with the Father and the Son (Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 3:17). He convicts the world of sin, reveals Christ, regenerates believers, and dwells in them, empowering them to live out God’s will (John 16:7-15; Romans 8:9-11). Without Him, we cannot walk in truth, bear fruit, or fulfill God’s call on our lives. He equips the Church with spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) and empowers believers to live a supernatural lifestyle as witnesses of Jesus (Acts 1:8).

5. Salvation
We believe all have sinned and fallen short of God’s design (Romans 3:23). Sin is not only disobedience but living outside of God’s good design, which ultimately leads to death—the wages of sin (Romans 6:23). Salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ—His death, burial, resurrection, and enthronement (Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 2:33-36). Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:11-12). We are saved because of God’s great love (John 3:16), delivered from sin and death, and saved unto reconciliation as God’s children. We are restored to His design, transformed into Christlikeness, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom on the earth (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).

6. The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all who believe in Him (1 Corinthians 12:27). The Church exists to glorify God, gather in worship and fellowship (Hebrews 10:24-25), proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate the love and power of Jesus Christ to the world (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). The Church is not confined to a building but is to be expressed in every sphere of life as believers live as the hands and feet of Jesus. We affirm the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers as God’s design for covering, equipping, and building up the Body into maturity and fruitful ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13).

7. The Kingdom of God & Mission
We believe the Kingdom of God has come in Jesus Christ, is advancing through His Church, and will be fully realized at His return (Matthew 4:17; Revelation 11:15). The good news is the gospel of the Kingdom, proclaiming Jesus as King and the restoration of all things under His reign (Matthew 24:14). Of the increase of His Kingdom and peace there will be no end (Isaiah 9:7). As His ambassadors, we are called to take the gospel  – not merely in word but in demonstration – to heal the sick, set captives free, care for the poor, and embody the love of Jesus, until the kingdoms of this world become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (Luke 4:18-19; Matthew 10:7-8; 2 Corinthians 5:20; Revelation 11:15).

8. Eternity
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and final judgment (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15). Eternal life is both a present reality and a future hope. Jesus said, “This is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3). For believers, eternal life begins now through knowing God and being united with Him by the Spirit (John 3:36), and will be fully realized in the age to come when we dwell with Him forever in the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21:1-4).

9. Identity & Transformation
We believe every believer is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), called to live as beloved sons and daughters of God (Romans 8:14-15). Transformation is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit as our minds are renewed and we are conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 12:2; Romans 8:29). Through union with Christ and the indwelling Spirit, we are empowered to live holy, righteous, victorious, and fruitful lives that reflect Jesus to the world (Galatians 2:20; John 15:5).

And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Matthew 4:19
